Soccer is a Kick in the Grass to broadcast from LiveWire Studios in 2009

Soccer is a Kick in the Grass has announced an agreement with Roc Centre to broadcast in 2009 from LiveWire Studios, located at One East Main Street at the Four Corners in downtown Rochester.  Roc Centre is a showcase studio, unique with high-visibility windows and on-the-street venue that allows listeners to view the shows as they are broadcast live. The world-class facility is the first of its kind in Rochester.

“This is sort of a homecoming for me”, said the show’s host Joe Sirianni, who was the trainer for the Rochester Lancers of the North American Soccer League.  “Our new studio location is on the ground floor of the Wilder Building in downtown Rochester, where the Lancers had their business offices in the 1970’s”.

“The move to Roc Centre takes our show to the next level”, adds Andrew Battisti, co-host of Soccer is a Kick in the Grass.  “We will be using the same on-air facility as the top two local radio personalities in Rochester, Bob Lonsberry and Brother Wease, in street-level studios that are comparable those used by TV and radio stations in the largest media markets.  Broadcasting from downtown Rochester in this state-of-the-art facility will bring added exposure to our show.”

The first Soccer is a Kick in the Grass broadcast from LiveWire Studios at Roc Centre will be on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. ET and can be heard locally in Rochester on News power 1040 WYSL-AM and live on the Internet at www.soccerisakickinthegrass.com and www.wysl1040.com.
