Joe "Red Card" Sirianni - Executive Producer/Host

Joe Sirianni, born in Italy, has been part of the Rochester soccer scene since coming here in the mid-1950s, first involved with the Italian American Sport Club, then as trainer and traveling secretary of the Rochester Lancers and Rochester Flash, and most recently as host of Soccer Is A Kick In The Grass.  Joe earned the nickname "Red Card" because he was the only trainer in NASL history to earn a red card in a match between the Lancers and the Chicago Sting. 

Joe sits on the Board of Directors of the Italian American Community Center, is an officer of the Italian-American Sport Club and a member of  the Gates Amita Club.  He lives in Gates.

 Joe Sirianni 

Andrew Battisti - Co-Host/Webmaster

Andrew Battisti, a native Rochesterian, has followed soccer since the days of Soccer Made in Germany and All-Star Soccer on WXXI-TV in the 1970's.  Andrew has been on local radio for 30 years as a disc jockey, sports broadcaster and play-by-play announcer for RIT soccer, St. John Fisher and RIT basketball and the Rochester Zeniths of the Continental Basketball Association.  Andrew was also the host of pre-and-post game shows on Rhinos’ radio broadcasts on WYSL from 2002-2004 and, in July of 2009, Andrew was the play-by-play voice for the Rhinos for 2 matches.

Andrew lives in the City of Rochester and serves as Executive Vice-President for the Rochester Chapter of the Project Management Institute.

 Andrew Battisti

"Mr. Zero" Dick Howard - International Correspondent

A member of the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame, Dick Howard was one of Canada's top goalkeepers for over a decade, playing 7 years in the NASL, including manning the nets for the 1970 NASL Champion Rochester Lancers, where he earned the nickname "Mr. Zero" both for the number he wore and the shutouts he posted. 

Dick lives in Toronto, Ontario and has been member of the FIFA Technical Study Group for the past 19 years.  Dick also graces the TV screens in North America on both Fox Soccer Channel and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a soccer color analyst and in-studio host for international matches.

 Dick Howard

Bob D'Angelo - In-Studio Engineer

Bob is a long time member of WYSL, as he was originally operations supervisor at WYSL (1988-1992) in its earlier stages of development.  Bob currently anchors afternoon drive periods, supervises production and sports, and performs many other daily activities in broadcasting, including lending his considerable talents to Soccer Is A Kick In The Grass

Bob is a graduate of SUNY Alfred with a degree in Electronic Technology. He is an accomplished musician, playing trumpet, French Horn and bass guitar.
