The MISL Rochester Lancers held a press conference at the ESL Corporate Headquarters in downtown Rochester to announce ESL Federal Credit Union as the corporate sponsor of the franchise and Doug Miller as the first player signed by the team. Adirondack Sports Club held a press conference at the Strathallan Hotel to announce the new naming rights sponsor for Rhinos Stadium. The new sponsor is Sahlen's Packing Company, the family-owned company owned by Joe Sahlen, the owner of the WPS Western New York Flash. The stadium will now be known as Sahlen's Stadium for the next 10 years. Answering questions from the press were US Soccer President Sunil Gulati, US Soccer CEO/Secretary General Dan Flynn, USL CEO Alec Papadakis and NASL Acting Commissioner Jeff Cooper. The Rochester Rhinos officially announced the team will move to the new North American Soccer League for the 2010 season.
